Operator
Join Oakwood Cooperage as an Operator and help with the smooth day-to-day running of our operations. You’ll be part of a team that supports the production, repair, and handling of whisky casks. A practical, hands-on role—ideal for individuals who enjoy physical work. We provide full training and opportunities to develop new skills, offering a clear pathway for progression within the cooperage and the wider whisky industry.
Key responsibilities
Safely load and unload casks, timber, and related materials.
Assist with cask handling, preparation, and repair processes.
Operate vehicles and machinery as required (training provided).
Perform general maintenance and keep work areas clean and organised.
Use hand and power tools under supervision.
Follow strict health and safety protocols at all times.

What we’re looking for
Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling.
Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player.
Good numeracy skills.
Previous experience is an advantage but not essential.
