Charles de Lorgeril comes from a family of winegrowers, giving him a deep-rooted understanding of the land, forestry, and long-term stewardship. His career spans international business, forestry, business development, and organisational transformation, bringing a broad and practical perspective to the projects he supports.

Working alongside Sylvain Charlois, Founder, Chairman & CEO, Charles contributes to the development of Charlois, which brings together companies across the oak value chain — from sustainable forest management to premium oak products for the wine, spirits, and design industries. The Group operates across Europe and North America and serves customers in more than 60 countries.

Since Charlois first invested in Oakwood, Charles has played a central role in supporting the successive stages of the company’s development and its integration within the Group. He continues to contribute to its international positioning and alignment with Charlois’ long-term strategy.

His approach is grounded in a deep respect for craftsmanship, the people who sustain it, and oak as a living material. He is committed to responsible and sustainable development, helping to preserve traditional skills, uphold high standards, and secure the long-term future of the oak supply chain.
